Parking and greenery at once
Together with the architectural firm “Do Architects” in 2020 Betono mozaika launched a new product called Eco Domino, which combines parking and green space.
The Eco Domino shape 333x333x110 (mm) has 39% more open spacers compared to other eco-cobblestone shapes on the market, which provides enough space for the lawn root system, which means that the cobblestone shape is suitable for landscaping. One of the biggest benefits is the 11 cm pavement height, which is intended for medium-duty pedestrian traffic areas and light parking lots.
When filling in the open distances, company recommends choosing a mixture of Sunshine grass seeds, which is not demanding and grows well in difficult weather conditions. In order to additionally provide moisture in the filling mixture, it is possible to incorporate special capsules or coconut fibers, which transfer the accumulated moisture to the lawn in case of lack of moisture.
One of the advantages of the Eco Pavement is that it is environmentally friendly, as it provides absorption of precipitation in the ground, which replaces the installation of sewerage networks, avoids leaching and supplies plants with water.
