Packaging analysis for the international market

Trade fair FACHPACK 2021 starts from 28-30 September in the Exhibition Center Nuremberg. Interseroh presents reliable assessment of recyclability in selected European countries.

At the European trade fair for packaging, technology and processes FACHPACK, the environmental service provider Interseroh will be presenting its expanded range of services “Made for Recycling” from September 28 to 30, 2021.

“The demand is great. Our customers want to know whether, for example, their packaging can be recycled to the same high quality in France or Italy as it is in Germany. With the internationalization of our scientifically sound packaging analysis, we will be able to support companies even better in developing sustainable and resource-saving packaging solutions for their sales markets.”

Markus Müller-Drexel, Managing Director of INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH

The “Made for Recycling” test method is established in Germany as the standard for recyclable packaging. Three years after the start, the international rollout follows: From now on, all interested companies will also benefit from the independent assessment of recyclability in selected European countries. To this end, the experts not only examine the materials and the design of the packaging, but also the actual sortability and recyclability, which depends heavily on the technical infrastructure on site. The international packaging analysis was validated by the bifa Environmental Institute and the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV and is initially possible for Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Spain and the UK.

The FACHPACK trade fair is planned as a hybrid event this year – that means: Interested parties can find out more at the Interseroh stand in the Nuremberg Exhibition Center or participate via the myFackpack digital platform . One of the highlights on the program is a specialist lecture by packaging expert Julian Thielen on the focus topic of internationalization.
