Maxima will build a huge logistics center next year nearby Lentvaris
Maxima LT, one of the largest retail companies in Lithuania, plans to start the construction of a logistics center next to Lentvaris, near the Vilnius-Trakai road.
Ernesta Dapkienė, Director of Maxima’s Communication and Image Department, says that the company intends to modernize the logistics chain.
“The new logistics center will have a temperature warehouse, which will store fresh food, such as meat, fruits and vegetables, milk, culinary products made by our masters, flowers, so that the products maintain quality and freshness for as long as possible.”

According to her, the warehouse will serve the entire Maxima LT network. “It is estimated that it will occupy about 43 thousand. sq. meters, and administrative premises – about 3 thousand. sq. meters,” she said. E. Dapkienė has not yet revealed the investments in the project: “Currently, possible investments are still being calculated, as their size will also depend on the chosen equipment.”
The project proposals prepared by the company Kita Kryptis on behalf of Later, a company managed by Maxima LT, indicate that 1-2 floors building of 46 thousand sq. meters of total area together with 230 parking spaces are planned to build in the plot in Zigmantiškių str. 1.
According to E. Dapkienė, the construction of the building is planned to start in 2022. In September last year, the total area of Maxima warehouses amounted to more than 100 thousand. sq. meters – the company had six warehouses in different parts of Vilnius. Partner’s logistics centers in Vilnius and Kaunas are also used. According to the data of the Real Estate Register, the plot on Zigmantiškių Street has been managed by Later since December 2010.
